It takes a long time to turn a big bus.

I read several Catholic publications every morning and look at “content” posted on social media each morning, as well. I’ve been struck lately by the preponderance of Catholic updates on old Roman Catholic clergy abuse cases, news on new and old Catholic clergy abuse accusations, articles about millions of dollars in payouts and bankruptcy deals. I find the juxtaposition between these reports and the reputation scrub / rebranding of the institutional Roman Catholic Church in the United States is alarming and appalling. When did Catholics of conscience give up on cleansing the temple?
